So we arrived here at Bragg on Feb 11th and checked into our hotel on post. We had already received a call from housing here saying that our house would be available on the 22nd, which was perfect because when you move for the military they will reimburse you up to 10 days at a hotel, which meant we would only have to pay for one night. Talk about winning! We were originally nervous that it would take awhile so with that out of the way, we set about to make the hotel room our home for the next 11 days. Nothing too exciting there, other than finally having time outside of the car to reconnect as a family after SEVENTEEN looooong months apart and not having to worry about work or school getting in the way. On our last full day there, Shelbie turned nine years old. My goodness she is growing up!!! I knew she would be sad being away from everyone so I took her out on a girl's day. We got our hair done and had some lunch. When we got back to the hotel daddy and the boys had cupcakes and presents all ready for her! No tears, so I would say it was a success!
Pretty Birthday Girl!

Making a wish...
Happy Birthday, Shelbie! So proud of you for how you have adapted to all the craziness this lifestyle brings!
