We got the keys to our house on the morning of the 22nd. After a mad dash (literally) to get out of our hotel room on time that day we all camped out in the new (empty) house until our furniture came on the 24th, which also happened to be the kids' first day at their new school. They settled in very quickly, which was surprising because Shelbie and Owen had to ride the bus an hour each way! The school in our neighborhood was over-crowded so they had to be bussed on-post for the last half of the year. Drew, because he was in Pre-K got to go to the school out here so that was nice. Here in NC Pre-K is part of the school system, and they go half a day five days a week. So his last half of pre-k was the equivalent of Shelbie and Owen's kindergarten in Utah! It worked out very well, though!

After we got our household goods we set to unpacking straight away. Anyone who has ever moved knows that afterwards there is an abundance of leftover empty boxes!!!! What does a family do when they have PILES of empty boxes laying around? Why, make a slide down the stairs of course!!!!
Even Van got in on the action! So funny, he didn't even hesitate even after watching everyone else!
